The Chapelle de Saint Jean is a Romanic edifice from the 12th century. It is the oldest part of our mansion.
It was a place of worship for the Malta Order of Knights on the way to Saint-Jacques-de-
Compostelle.
One of the gravestones of the Knights buried inside and around the chapel, the commander Michel de Letrange's one, dates from 1148 and indicates the "Saint-Jean of Montluçon" foundations' antiquity, making it going back to the first years of the Order's creation (1118).
Today, the Chapelle de Saint Jean has lost all its religious vocation to become our Gastronomic Restaurant.
The Chef Thierry Douault and his team offer dishes with local products.
